Lamar CISD Closes on 100 Acres in Cross Creek West

Lamar Consolidated Independent School District has closed on 100 acres in Cross Creek West for a new high school, junior high school, middle school and potential future elementary school.

The multi-school complex will be located in the northern portion of Cross Creek West. It is part of the 2022 bond referendum. The high school, junior high school and middle school are expected to open in August 2027. Timing for the potential elementary has not been announced.

“The need for new schools goes hand-in-hand with Fulshear’s growth,” said Senior Vice President and General Manager Rob Bamford. “The school district has an aggressive plan for bringing new schools online, and we are thrilled to be able to support that plan by making land available within our community.”

Slated to begin construction in March in Cross Creek West is Elementary No. 36, which is on time to open in fall 2025. Part of the 2022 bond program, the elementary school will be built to accommodate 850 students.
